Its neighbouring counties are Baringo, Bomet, Kericho, Kiambu, Kajiado, Laikipia, Narok, Nyandarua. Nakuru main economic activities are Agriculture, horticulture, tourism, manufacturing, dairy, geothermal energy.

Nakuru County is in the Rift Valley, bordering Baringo, Laikipia, Nyandarua, Kiambu, Kajiado, Narok, Kericho and Bomet. Nakuru City is the headquarters. The county features lakes, forests, fertile farmland and volcanic landscapes. Agriculture, tourism, manufacturing and trade are major economic activities. Attractions include Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate National Park. Nakuru is one of Kenya's fastest-growing urban and agricultural centres.
